Dr Brad Merwitz is a specialist physician and endocrinologist with a special interest in diabetes mellitus (especially Type 2), osteoporosis, cardiovascular risk management, lipidology and general endocrinology.
In addition, he has experience in managing endocrine disorders in the pregnant patient with a focus on ensuring optimal outcomes in both mother and baby.
He qualified cum laude from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2004 and after completing his internship has focused his practice exclusively in the field of internal medicine, qualifying as a Fellow of the College of Physicians (FCP) in 2013.
He subsequently entered a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at Wits University, attaining his certificate (Cert Endo and Metab) in 2016.
